Principal's message continued

Belonging starts early. Our Kindergarten orientation program supports families as they transition into school, and our weekly playgroup provides a welcoming space for young children to connect with our community. These early experiences build strong foundations for learning.

We are deeply connected to our community through initiatives such as The Fathering Project and our intergenerational partnership with the local nursing home, which help students build empathy and make a positive impact beyond the classroom. Our wellbeing strategy also includes Banjo, our much-loved school support dog, who brings comfort, regulation and joy each day.

Scarborough offers a vibrant range of extra-curricular opportunities, from art, drama, dance and sport to STEM, coding, gardening and wellbeing groups. We also identify and nurture High Potential and Gifted students across the intellectual, creative, social-emotional and physical domains, providing enrichment and authentic opportunities to grow and shine.

Our values — kindness, curiosity, growth, community and joy — are the foundation of our school culture, helping students grow as learners and as capable, compassionate citizens.

Scarborough Public School is a proud pillar of its community, committed to ensuring every child connects, succeeds and thrives. Whether you are joining us for the first time or continuing your journey, we warmly welcome you.
